Due to numerous requests made by various school principals as well as discussions held with representatives in the Ministry of Education, we have decided to postpone the DeciBel conference and workshop to a date that is more convenient to all involved, in light of mock exams being held at high schools throughout the country. At DeciBel we recognize the sensitive nature of this examination process and wish to work along with our educational community to ensure that the system works smoothly and without interference. We do apologize for the sudden date change and ask that you keep posted to our website for further information.

Available limited advance tickets will be on sale for the Sugar Ray concert from Wednesday April 27th at the Zen Box office, various outlets or from select committee members.

DeciBel  - May  2005 is an annual festival that explores the art and commerce of the music and film industry, on the island of Trinidad & Tobago. 2005 marks the fifth year for this prestigious affair, which is made up of three components: a music and film conference, workshops and a music showcase. The objectives of the event are threefold:

  • To present executives and participants with a clearer understanding of how the entertainment business operates and the chance to network;
  • To provide students in attendance with the necessary guidance for choosing careers within the fields of music or film, and
  • To offer opportunities for new and upcoming acts to showcase their talent to their fans and to powerful executives within the trade.
